Biograd na Moru City Council and City Board have made a number of important decisions concerning faster entrepreneurship development in the town of Biograd na Moru area. One of the significant decisions was the formation of entrepreneurship zones (regulated through detailed spatial arrangement plans) such as:

• Industrial zones
• Utility - service zone «Bučina».

The creation of entrepreneurship zones is aimed at stimulating economy in the town area, solve entrepreneurs' spatial problems, enable the development of economy, and stimulate new employment.

Industrial zone

The basic elements of the spatial- urbanistic elements of the Detailed Industrial Zone Arrangement were enacted in 1995. The zone is situated at the north-west end of the town, at 500 meters distance from JTC, and 1,200 meters from the conjuction road Biograd - Motorway Al. The total zone surface area is 202,000 m2, and a surface area of 111,200 m2 has been planned for the building of industrial facilities. The land in the zone area is given in longstanding lease, from 20 to 50 years, with the right of construction.

An access road has been built with the aim of infrastructure arrangement, and electricity and water have been brought to the zone borders. The zone project foresees the buiding and asphalting of roads, new power station and electricity and water on every land plot, sewage system and rainfall water discharge system. .

Facilities that do not contaminate the environment, or with a minimum contamination, are allowed to be built within the zone.

There are 14 entrepreneurs performing within the zone. Through bids about 60 % of the area has been rented, and due to shown interest an initiative to enlarge the industrial zone has got underway

Utility - service zone «Bučina»

Utility - service zone «Bučina» is being made into an entrepreneurship zone. The zone is located in the north-eastern part of the town, at a distance of about 100 m from JTC. In December 2004, the urban arrangement plan for the zone was adopted and tenders were invited for the entrepreneurship zone arrangement and equipment project documentation.

The building of small facilities (crafts) is planned here with clean technology that is not to contaminate the environment. The total surface area is 133,840 m2, and a surface of 106,049 m2 is planned for the building of crafts and facilities. Entrepreneurs have shown great interest in the building of facilities in this zone, making Biograd receive 30 letters of intent for land lease and facility building.

Biograd na Moru calls on all potential investors to express their interest and realize their investments in the town of Biograd na Moru region, along with the privileges that such an entrepreneurship zone offers.
